Today I will tell you about a website called Vademecum, which is widely used by health officials such as doctors and pharmacists to consult about presentations, compositions and the main indications of drugs.

I visit it frequently because I like to find out about the active products and composition of drugs, and if you want to know about a disease, the website indicates which drug could be used, taking into account that it serves only as a guide, since it is always preferable to consult with a specialist in the area.

Undoubtedly I recommend this website for professionals in the area, and also to students like me, who despite still being in pharmaceutical training, I think it would for some branches of the career in which we are asked to inquire about the correct use of drugs, clarify doubts about its composition, recommended dosage and side effects.

A Photo and Its Story

Well these photos mean a lot to me, because there are my four best friends of all my life, we have always been very close and a great support in every way.

It is a very nice memory because it was the last time we went to our school where we spent more than 6 years, but at the same time I am very excited to see it because we can no longer see each other so much and I miss them very much.

It's very strange but we didn't have any picture of the 5 of us with our last high school year hoodie, so that day we took too many pictures and even cried with emotion, without a doubt the best memories are with them

It represents a lot to me because it is a photo that over the years will always serve me as a memory of what I lived with them. <3

A Meal Or Food You Really Like

My favorite food is steak fries with meat. It is a very popular food around the world and is usually eaten at lunchtime, many people like it for its rich flavor and easy preparation.

They are prepared by patatoes into sticks and frying them in hot oil until golden brown and finally salt is added.

The meat that I like is the "lomo vetado" and it is prepared on the grill; coarse salt is added

I like it a lot because of its flavor, and because you can add seasonings to the French fries and they are even richer.

It affects negatively, because it is not a very healthy food, and for the same reason I try not to eat it often so as not to have any disease in the future from the abuse of red meat.

My Favourite Piece of Technology

My favorite piece of technology is the iPad 10.2" because it is very versatile to use it, I use it to make my university notes,  in addition, I also bought the pencil that is compatible with the iPad, and it is much easier to write, because I can draw, make schematics and highlight things.

It is very useful too, since it is not necessary to buy notebooks or pencils, because all my bouquets of the university have distributed them in an application that I paid in which I write and draw my notes.

Since I have my iPad, it has affected me positively, as it is an ideal size to transport everywhere, and I can read and study without problems with out the need to have my notebook, which is more complicated to carry.

I recommend 100% buy it, although its a bit expensive, it is worth buying it, if you are in university.

Why Did i Choose my Major?

 

I study chemistry and pharmacy at Universidad de Chile, as a child I wanted to be a secretary because I've always liked pencils of many colors and notebooks.

Another career that I liked was Medical Technology, because it also has a lot to do with chemistry and biology, in addition to scientific research.

I decided on chemistry and pharmacy for its huge field of work, as they can work in clinical area, hospitable pharmacy area, in the industry, and many more. Also because of the high employability of the career and it is well paid.

My experience so far has been very good, I have met many people and I have had the opportunity to make friends, which we always rely on each other, on both, academic and personal ways.  Also I find interesting what i've been learning over the time about the career Im stydying.

Who Am I?

Let me introduce myself, I'm Antonia Arias Peña. I study chemistry and farmacy at Universidad de Chile since last year, my family is made up of my mom, my dad and my older brother. 

I was born in Santiago de Chile, and lived there until I was 3 years old, then my dad was transferred for his work to Rancagua and we have lived here from that moment.

My hobbies is biking, reading, listening to music and watching series. I'm currently watching Greys Anatomy, and I highly recommend it.

Every summer we travel to the countryside with my family, which is located in Quillón in the Región de Ñuble, because my grandparents and some of my mother's aunts live there.
